Twikatane Ndola Vocational Training CentreTwikatane is project that has been initiated for the purpose of helping the underprivileged who were not able to complete their secondary education and had therefore no possibility of self determination in life.
Mukuba AwardsMukuba Awards is an annual event that supports local Copperbelt artists in the fields of music, drama, film production and visual art. Lately we also introduced an HIV/AIDS peer education program where we acquaint the 58 Copperbelt High School students with skills of influence on their friends through art on the subject of HIV/AIDS. Mission Press Social Football TeamThe Mission Press Football Team was established early in the year 2010. The football team, which draws its membership (players) from Mission Press employees, was started with a view of enhancing social interaction among its members of staff, other companies and organisations.
The formation of the social football team is also a clear intent by Mission Press as an organisation to fully participate in the social development of its employees. The team is supported by Mission Press Management.
2010 was a successful year for the team. It played a total of 13 games in which 8 were wins, 2 draws and 3 losses. Mission Press participated in the end of year tournament organised by the Ndola City council and the team reached the semi-finals.
The team is run by a committee headed by the sports secretary, who is a liaison between the team and the management of the institution.
